The Association for Women in Computing - Houston Chapter

AWC helps women reach their professional and business goals by creating connections, resources, opportunities and an environment that is supportive through its network and alliances.

We do more than help people reach the right people; we provide support, a network and the resources for women to achieve their professional goals.

AWC Houston strives to demonstrate that advancing women through technology is beneficial to the bottom line of business and we seek to encourage more young women to pursue degrees in technology.

1. Women account for less than 20% of corporate officers in the Fortune 500 (reported by Catalyst).

2. Companies with the most women in senior management had a 35% higher return on equity than those with the fewest (reported by Catalyst).

3. Women are the fastest growing group of entrepreneurs.
