Association for Women in Computing - Houston Chapter
President's Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Houston chapter of The Association for Women in Computing (AWC). Please click on links in the right column to learn about our organization and activities.
AWC Houston serves four primary purposes:
To promote communication among women in computing
To further the professional development, advancement, and network of women in computing
To support the education of women of all ages in computing
To support the Association in conformity with its bylaws
AWC provides members access to a diverse network of colleagues by building on the strength, breadth of experience, and contacts of all its members. AWC provides a way for us to regularly share our experiences and offers many member benefits. Through our efforts as a group and presentations by individual members, we are able to encourage other girls and women to pursue careers in science, technology, and related fields. By awarding scholarships, we assist them in gaining the education they need for those careers. Joining AWC-Houston also brings membership in the national AWC organization and the Federation of Houston Professional Women (FHPW).
Have you been missing out on the benefits of AWC membership? In these difficult and uncertain times, there’s never been a better time to join!
See for yourself. RSVP to join us for an upcoming monthly meeting on the third Wednesday of the month except in June and December. Be sure to bring business cards for networking.
